Wake NZ 2020 Season – Deviations from IWWF Wakeboard Boat Rules 2019

Wake NZ has determined by committee to deviate from the IWWF Wakeboard Boat Rules 2019 in the following areas:

2.1.3    Use of Safety Boat:

We won’t be using a safety boat at round comps (South Is Champs, North Is Champs, Back Paddocks), instead at these events we will be using a pickup Jetski as first responder, in the event of an injury the towboat will be used to pickup an injured rider.

2.1.4    Safety Boat Personnel:

In the event that we don’t use a safety boat the provision shall not apply.

2.1.5    Onsite medical facilities

We will ensure there is a first aid trained officer in attendance for the duration of the event.

A suitably equipped medical station will be located at the competition site.

We will provide GPS co-ordinates to venue for helicopter and ambulance pickup.

2.3.1    Minimum Number of Riders

We will allow all divisions to open regardless of the number of riders entered provided at least one rider has entered the respective division.

2.4.2    Course Dimensions

In some competitions we may utilise only one start, end and cutoff buoy subject to the nature of the location.
