NZ Go Wakeboarding day – In Memory of Richie Wells.
December 28th 2013 marks 10 years since the passing of former NZ National Champion wakeboarder Richie Wells.
Richie was a huge part of New Zealand Wakeboarding and was a big influence on many riders around the country. So, in Memory of Richie, from now on the 28th of December will be known as ‘NZ Go Wakeboarding Day’.
Get yourselves, your friends and family out on the water; be it behind a wakeboard boat, a fishing boat, at a cable park, jet ski, winch. A group of people will be getting together on Saturday evening at ‘Paradise’ hot springs on Lake Ohakuri for a few beers to remember Richard Wells, please join us there, or remember him by getting on the water on the 28th.
