Morgan Haakma is a student of The University of Waikato, studying towards a Bachelors Degree in Sport and Leisure Studies.

 

Originally from Taranaki NZ, Morgan is a Hillary Scholar, and is sponsored by Freestyle Watches, O’Brien Wakeboards and Aspire Chiropractors Hamilton.

2016:

  • 1st Place, Junior Woman’s Division, New Zealand National Championships, Lake Karapiro.

 

2015:

  • 17th Place, Junior Ladies (Under 19), IWWF Wakeboard World Champs, Cancun, Mexico.
  • 1st Place Inverter Woman’s Division, Urban Edge Open.
  • 2nd Place, Straight Air Girls Division, Wakeboard NSW Summer Series Competition, Windsor, Australia.

 

2014:

  • 1st Place, Junior Woman’s Division (Under 19), Wake NZ Backpaddock Lakes Cable Vs. Wake.
  • 1st Place, Intermediate Girls Division, Nautiques Boards and BBQ’s Grom’s Competition.
  • 1st Place, Junior Woman’s Division, Auckland Open.
  • 1st Place, Junior Woman’s Division, North Island Wakeboard Champs.
  • 1st Place, Junior Woman’s Division, New Zealand National Championships.
  • 3rd Place, Open Woman’s Division, Performance Gravel Tour wakeboard series stop #3, Orlando, Florida, U.S.A.

  • 2nd Place, Advanced Division (Girls and Boys), Nautiques Boards and BBQ’s Grom’s Competition.
  • 1st Place, Junior Women’s Division, Auckland Open Wakeboard Competition.
  • 1st Place, Junior Women’s Division, Nautiques North Island Champs.
  • 1st Place, Junior Women’s Division, Nautiques New Zealand National Championships.
  • 3rd Place, Straight Air Girls Division, Wakeboard NSW Summer Series Competition, Windsor, Australia.
  • Awarded Blues Award for Wakeboarding (For Podium at an international event), Sacred Heart Girls’ College Sports Prizegiving.
  • Finalist, Supreme Award, Senior Sportswoman of the year category, Sacred Heart Girls’ College Sports Prizegiving.
  • Nominee for Taranaki Daily News Sportsperson of the Year Awards, Junior Sportswoman Category.
  • Highly Commended, Young Achievers Female Sports Achievement category, New Plymouth District Council Young Achievers awards.
  • Selected to represent New Zealand at the IWWF Wakeboarding World Championships in Korea (Was unable to compete due to injury).
