WNZ Held the 2014 North Island Champs at Mangakino on the weekend of 15th and 16th of February 2014. This was another great event. The weather could not have been better with high temps and calm waters for both days!

We were extremely fortunate thanks to Nautiques Boats to have the privilege of using the latest Nautique 210 and G23. This proved to be challenging for most riders the first day, with plenty of falls as they got used to the impressive wakes from both these boats.

Day 2 turned out another Gem, with all waking up to the famous Mangakino fog, which always means the water is going to be mirror like for boarding! Wakeboarding Heaven!

All riders had great rides, and put on a real show for the spectators that came down to the lakeside to watch. The Mens Open proved another great battle on the water with some great double ups, which the spectators got behind in the usual Mango tradition of standing in the water.

WNZ would like to thank everyone that helped make this event a great success. In particular we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS:

NAUTIQUES, TRINITY WHARF TAURANGA, CWB, OUTDOOR TECHNOLOGY, OBRIEN, FREESTLYE WATCHES, RONIX, MYSTIC WETSUITS, BALLISTICS, HYPERLITE, TEKTON HOUSE WRAPS, LIQUID FORCE, JETPILOT, AND MONSTER ENERGY.
