- The King of Wake is made up of rounds of competitions that lead up to the Wake NZ Nationals
- Riders get a seeding run (up and back) and finals run (up and back) of the comp course, with the finals run counted towards comp placings and overall season King of Wake points allocation
- Riders are allocated points as follows:

3rd: 65 points
4th: 55 points
5th: 45 points
6th: 40 points

- These points add up over the season’s rounds, and all rounds count towards your final score

- While not mandatory, this is encouraged so as not to be holding back and allows other riders the room to improve also
