2022 – Wake NZ North Island Championships

The Wake NZ North Island Championships returns to Mangakino on 5-6 March 2022.
Nautique NZ are very proud to introduce the new Wake NZ competition boat for this season – 2022 Super Air Nautique G23! With a host of new features from the hull, and brand new actuated tower, along with supplemental ballast and thruster, we are sure the riders will love being towed by this new marvel.

Entries Close: 3pm, Friday 4th March.
Format: This is a 2 day event with all division heats running on Saturday and division finals on Sunday.
7.45 am: Rider check in and registration. In accordance with events at Red we are required to check your vaccine passports on rider check in.
8.30am: Safety briefing
9.00am: Riding will commence
Boat Riding Order: We have 50+ riders to get through across 16 divisions so expect some tension and great riding. The heat schedule and results as they happen can be viewed in live heats:

Boat: The official Towboats for the event are a brand new Supreme ZS232, and a Super Air Nautique G23, kindly provided by Nautique NZ
Venue Info:
We will be running the course in front of the reserve so get there early for a prime spot.
It’s expected to be warm so make sure you bring sunscreen, hats and plenty of water. Food and refreshments will be available from the Bus Stop Cafe. Please respect the venue and take all rubbish with you.
Equipment: Please ensure your boards, boots, vests, ropes and helmets (if using) are in good condition.
Prize Giving: Prize giving will be held onsite at the conclusion of riding on Sunday.
